
Advancing Collaboration in Neurodiversity, Inclusion and Mental Health

THE CHINI TRUST is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), a research institute of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), through a new partnership focused on advancing understanding and inclusion in the field of neurodiversity.
The partnership was formalised during a visit to O.P. Jindal Global University by Dr. Nayan Mitra, Founder & Trustee, THE CHINI TRUST, and Ms. Meeta Sengupta, FRSA, Board Member, THE CHINI TRUST. They were welcomed by Dr. Pulkit Khanna, Dean, JIBS, along with Dr. Vasundharaa Santhosh Nair, Assistant Professor, JIBS, Prof. Raavi Masta, Lecturer, JIBS, and Ms. Randeep Kaur Sidhu from the Office of Career Services. The meeting brought together perspectives from across research, education and community engagement to explore meaningful avenues for collaboration.
The collaboration will create opportunities for research and knowledge development, student learning and internships, faculty and professional development, and community outreach and awareness, bringing academic and community perspectives together in support of more inclusive educational and social environments.
Through this partnership, THE CHINI TRUST and JIBS look forward to fostering knowledge exchange and developing initiatives that contribute to a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and meaningful inclusion.
We look forward to a meaningful and impactful collaboration with JIBS and O.P. Jindal Global University.

Parul Bala Sen Memorial Award at ICNI 2026

THE CHINI TRUST collaborated with Christ University at the International Conference on Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (ICNI) 2026, held on 18-19 August in Bengaluru, to institute the Parul Bala Sen Memorial Award in loving memory of Parul Bala Sen.
With over 500 papers presented at the conference, the Award recognised excellence in research and presentation across two categories - PhD & Professionals and Undergraduate & Postgraduate.
Representing THE CHINI TRUST, Dr. Nayan Mitra, Founder & Trustee, and Ms. Meeta Sengupta, Board Member, were part of the conference as session chairs and members of the judging panel for the oral and poster presentations.
The Parul Bala Sen Memorial Award was presented to:

Jemimah A. Johnson - Best Oral Presentation, PhD & Professionals, for “Transdiagnostic Approach to Sleep in Adult ADHD: Insights from Case Series”

S. Amruthavarshini - Best Oral Presentation, Undergraduate & Postgraduate, for “Building Self, Community and Belonging through Eye to I Intervention”
The Award provided an opportunity to recognise emerging research and thoughtful contributions to the field of neurodevelopmental disabilities, while commemorating Parul Bala Sen’s memory through a focus on learning, research, and inclusion.
